DALLAS/EWORLDWIRE/Jan. 18, 2007 --- Benchmark Mortgage catapulted its 340+ branch managers, loan officers and special guests towards new heights of success this past weekend at their “Blastoff 07” Conference staged at Dallas’ Westin Galleria Hotel. For two days, mortgage industry superstars wowed the audience with deep trainings on Fiscal Literacy, Mortgage Planning, Life & Business Planning, Priority Management, Wealth Creation, Leadership, Best Practices Systems and Personal Transformation.

The grand ballroom of the Westin was equipped with a full sound stage featuring wraparound screens blasting forth multi-media presentations. The ballroom literally shook at conference liftoff as video footage of a Challenger rocket roared off its pad! After welcoming messages, founding partners Bryan Harlan and Stewart Hunter convened the event with personal introductions of several of the mortgage industry’s elite trainers.

The first industry luminary to speak Friday afternoon, was Barry Habib delivering an exciting 3-hour workshop focused on Fiscal Literacy. Barry, the CEO of the Mortgage Market Guide with over 16,000 subscribers, is an industry icon having averaged nearly $100 million in closings per year—20 years in succession. He’s one of the few originators to have closed over $2 billion in career production. Often featured on CNBC, NBC, CNN and FOX television networks, he coached all attendees on: Understanding the Fed; using tools to accurately predict interest rate fluctuations; understanding the velocity of money; and learning the influences of the mortgage bond market on interest rates. His theme…indeed, that of all the speakers…was one of moving from transactional relationships based on rate to true client relationships based on heightened industry knowledge and expertise.

Following a presentation of Benchmark’s 2007 Vision and Growth Agenda by Harlan and Hunter, Steve Scanlon, Master Coach of Building Champions, Inc. was invited to speak. As a “Master’s Coach,” Steve has coached more than 135 executives in Building Champion’s Executive and One-On-One Coaching programs. He’s expert in coaching clients not only in skills improvements, disciplines and knowledge…but in forging “success journeys” that move them from where they are to where they want to be. Following an elegant Awards Banquet Friday evening, the audience was treated to a world-class motivational talk by three-time Olympian, Ruben Gonzales. His moving message was entitled, “The Courage to Succeed.” Saturday’s agenda was no less inspiring. The first speaker was Dallas’ own Keith Craft, Leadership Strategist, CEO of the Leadership Shaper’s Institute and a keynote speaker at Peter Lowe Motivational events nationwide. He has shared arena speaking platforms with former U.S. Presidents and world leaders. Keith delivered a scintillating message entitled, “Transforming into a Superstar.” He challenged all attendees to elevate their thinking…to think great…to think beyond the normal. He shared methods in becoming powerful such as embracing resistance and learning from pain, irritation, traps and success (PITS). He further challenged the audience to establish goals defining what they want. He taught that our goals will determine what we will get and dictate where we will be in the future.

Benchmark’s fifth keynoter was Dave Savage, CEO of Mortgage Coach, the industry’s flagship origination software. A 20-year mortgage executive and business leader, Dave has licensed over 22,000 Loan Officers with Mortgage Coach thereby increasing their success by giving them mortgage planning tools.
